Woodbury Common day! We literally shopped and shopped until we dropped!
We hadn't realised until we got out to NYC that Memorial Day was that Monday (UK Late May Bank Holiday) and on top of all their usual cheaper outlet prices, most of the shops were doing around an extra 40% off!!
We truly did shop 'til we dropped!
We had put an alarm on and wanted to be on the bus by 10am so we stopped for a croissant & drink each at Starbucks and walked the few blocks to the Port Authority Bus Terminal.
Just under an hour later, we were there! When we walked in through the 'Welcome' doors and first saw the shops just off that building, we really underestimated how many shops there actually are at Woodbury Common!
We were so, so tired! Whilst there, when we got hungry, we ate in the general food building (it reminded me of Lakeside, our local shopping mall - the food court was so similar). We grabbed a couple of sandwiches from Melt Shop and my hubs got some Tots which the lady serving said were 'fried cheese' and anyone who knows me will know the kind of disgusted face I pulled at that! So he took the option she gave of adding jalapeños and bacon (I detest bacon - it's not to be cooked or brought into our house because of how badly it stinks). When they gave them to us, he tried one and discovered they're like mini potato croquettes (which I love!) and not fried cheese! He picked some from underneath that weren't touching the disgusting bacon and I got to try a couple! He said next time he now knows not to order with bacon so we can enjoy them together.

We got the bus back which took over 90 minutes due to traffic, then unpacked our new goodies and relaxed to give us energy for dinner!
We decided to walk round to Times Square again for dinner and discovered it was not as busy as the night before - nowhere near as busy! We had our pick of restaurants and had a 2 minute wait at Hard Rock Cafe. We both enjoyed our meal and weren't ready for the night to end so we ordered more cocktails and a dessert to share!
